We’ve recently been thinking about how we become a more dementia-friendly church. For example, we’ve organised a red toilet seat. Dementia can affect someone’s perception of colour and spatial awareness and so a white toilet seat can be indistinct against the wall and floor. The red part of the colour spectrum is most easily perceived by people with dementia. There are also 2 events that are coming soon.

You are invited to a special dementia service on Sunday 18th November @ 15:00-15:30pm. We will be thinking about nature. Dementia-friendly refreshments will be served before and after the service.

A dementia information session will take place on Tuesday 13th November @ 19:00-20:00 in the church. If you are keen to learn about how to care for someone with dementia, you would be most welcome.
