Messy Church

What is Messy Church?

Messy church is a family fun session, where we can all learn about the Christian faith through well planned crafts, games, activities and stories. We also end the session sharing a light meal together.

Messy church normally takes place on the 2nd Friday of each month (except August) at Stapleton Parish Hall, Park Road, Stapleton.  The session runs from 4pm and always finishes by 6pm. If you want to come straight from school we have a lounge area where you can wait with a drink and a biscuit.

Our messy team plan activities for all ages from toddlers to teens, we also invite the adults to join in too!

We don’t charge per session, however we have a ‘messy pig’ money box where you can pop in a donation, when you can.

Hi, I’m Jane. I have lived in and been involved with Frenchay & Stapleton benefice since I was a little girl, and now enjoy watching my young son being welcomed into the church family too. I work in an inner city nursery and love spending time making relationships with children and their families. I started attending messy church when it first started as a parent and now love having a more ‘hands on’ role.

We have a great team of volunteers who are DBS checked and come from several local churches and range in ages and backgrounds. We also have 2 qualified first aiders.

If you would like to volunteer and help with Messy church or would like to come along to a session, just pop in on the day or please contact Jane on 0778 607 2667.  Please also check out our Facebook page

Messy Church is something very special.
